Re: RFC Debugging in function module from portal

Hi Prasad,

What is your SRM implementation scenarios: Extended Classic/Classic ?

Scenario - ECS

SC creation would not trigger an RFC call to the ECC system as it does not create a PR.

- It would either be in pending approval status or approved and get converted in to a PO

- To debug in such case, put an "EXTERNAL" break-point in the BADI "BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI" and check the stack to to see the program where you would have to put the break-point.

Scenario - Classic

I believe, RFC to ECC would happen after the SC is approved to create a PR, so please check if the status of the SC after its created and put an external break-point int he same BADI.

Also, you might try using the FBGENDAT parameter in the BAPI which would be called in ECC system to create the follow-on document (PR/PO) based on your system settings.

Please check with your functional team regarding the existing setup.

Br,

Raghu

Re: Crystal Reports 13.0.1.220 Push Method Not Working Windows Server 2012 R2 x64

Hi Urmit

First thing you want to do is define:

all reports are working except two reports which have used push method for datasource of report.

Are you getting errors? Symptoms? Behavior?

Next. You are using Service Pack 1 for CRVS. This version of CR is now on SP 14(!). (SP 1 did not support WIN 2012 anyhow...). E.g.; update both your development and deployed computers to SP 14:

SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads

Why do you want the DSO in this structure....? if this is for reporting - you can achieve it using query designer...?

another option is to write an APD on this DSO and then have the APD do the conversion of rows to columns instead of doing it in code...?

Another option could be to define separate key figures for each country and split the key figures in the code...

Re: SQL Query Hints

Currently, the ad hoc query is being created as:

SELECT col1, col2, col3 FROM Table

What I am wanting it to do is create:

SELECT col1, col2, col3 FROM Table WITH (READUNCOMMITTED)

or

SELECT col1, col2, col3 FROM Table WITH (NOLOCK)

Bascially, we are having issues with one of our heavily used tables and having blocking issues.  Its causing reports to timeout because the query is being blocked by another unrelated task.

So, the 1st question obviously would be; what CR SDK are you using?

What development language

What version of CR - please be precise, including any updates.

What printer drivers do you see this behavior with?

Win or web app?

Can you post the code used in your app?

Another optionn could be to add a nav attribute to 0country and flag invalild country codes..

Have a nav attribute of zvalid and all valid counties will have a value of X and in the query include only countries with an X in it...

What is difference b/w FM SUSR_BAPI_USER_CHANGE & BAPI_USER_CHANGE ?

Hi All,

FM's SUSR_BAPI_USER_CHANGE & BAPI_USER_CHANGE both are used to reset password.

Also FM  'BAPI_USER_CHANGE' contains FM 'SUSR_BAPI_USER_CHANGE' in its logic.

Then what is special in FM 'BAPI_USER_CHANGE', when both performs same functions.

SMP3 SP08 is our back-end version, and s we are using the above guidance.

I am bit confused as to how all of these changes work without a new Agentry client - or is that something we need if so - where can we get it?

Agree current Agentry AppStore client(s) do(es) not like the certificate from the RP, however Chrome on mobile does and accesses SMP3 back-end. Our challenge is understand what Agentry does not like, and if we can fix it on an trusted third party (Global CA) certificate (rather than an internally CA signed certificate).

If we configure RP for pass-through it delivers a certificate from the SMP3 server which is signed by the internal CA. This certificate has a CN of intranet FQDN with SAN of external FQDN.
So in fact in this case the CN we enter to Agentry is different, despite the naming difference:this works fine, and only requires internal CA chain to be installed on Android User keystore.

Can you point me to the best documentation for what SAP Agentry client now expects from an SSL certificate?

We are using a v3 x.509 certificate, however, there are several variations such as encryption level (SHA1/SHA2) and extensions - so it would be good to check any known constraints - is there a detailed spec for this that relates to Agentry you could point to - as you say SP07 has changed some things in terms of SSL support for Agentry and SP08 has changed some more..

Re: Memory Tuning

Zero-Admin Memory Management is active by default for a fresh Windows-based installation. However, ZAMM does not tune the buffers -- you still must do those manually, based upon your own needs.

I believe for some of those buffers, a hit ratio in the 90-95% ratio would still be quite low, unless the machine has recently been restarted. It depends upon the buffer. If you are getting "red" statuses, that is probably based upon swaps occurring. In general, some amount of swapping is perfectly acceptable and to be expected, yet ST02 will turn the buffer to red if even a single swap has occurred. If you are getting an average of over 1000 swaps per day for some buffers, and hit ratios are not in the 98-99% range after about a week or more of operation, then you might consider increasing the size of the buffer. Double-clicking the buffer in ST02 will give you the opportunity to see which parameters are involved and to find some documentation about them.

Before increasing a buffer size, however, you want to ensure you have plenty of free extended memory. You can see this in ST02 as well. If Max Use is significantly lower than In Mem, then you probably have enough free memory to do this.

Also, are you actually observing poor performance on the server? Just because you are getting swaps does not by itself mean the server is not performing well.

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Rahul,

I played with diferent period types, SAP001 -SAP004 , so shifts, days, weeks, months. the system dispays always 13 columns = 13 periods. But in hte Q-System I don't face this issue...

I don't see the connection to aggregated/disaggregated for receipts/demand...

I wonder where this issue come from....

change Hana standby status from INFO to IGNORE

$

We have a 7+1 Hana BW.

In normal case, the standby has a status "IGNORE".

There was a failover , one of the slaves became new standby and the original standby became a worker.

But now both new standby and the old standby(i.e.new worker) have a status "INFO".

How to change their status to IGNORE and OK respectively?

Thanks!
