xi_af_uds_msg for udms
hi
anyone knows how to configure xi_af_uds_msg for udms (user defined message search) in archive tab of message monitoring?
I am not even getting user defined attributes tab in archive tab of message monitoring in PO 7.4 SP 6 .
Archive is set up using xi_af_msg and its working correctly. But UDMS is not.

EBS Search Strings - pick 8th field from line 16 for Note to Payee
Hi experts
I have a question regarding the field to be used in Search Strings. We get EBS from the bank wherein the field "MISC SERVICE FEE" that I want to use for my search string is appearing at line 16 (not 88). I understand that if the target text is appearing at line 88 there's no issue in using it for search strings but this one is appearing at 8th place on line 16 (please see screen shot below). I have tried and noticed that if it was 7th field in line 16 then search string picks it for note to the payee field but if it is at 8th place, search string doesn't seem to pick it.
I am wondering if there's any way that I can use this 8th field in line 16 for my search strings. Is there a config that I can change. Any help would be appreciated.

BODS 4.0 and slow data refreshing time
Hi,. I have two different Repositores with different datastores. I have upgraded BO Platform from BO 4.0 to BO 4.1 SP5. Main job from Repository no1 refresh on the same time like before upgrading BO. Main job from Repository no2 refresh about 5 hours longer...it is not acceptable. I use BODS 4.0 (I will upgrade in short future to 4.2)...with two different job configuration (on the same BODS server of course). First for Repositoryno1 and second for Repository no2.. I do not know what caused the problem. Do you know what could I verify?

Reset BO4.0 - CMC Administrator Password
Hi Experts,
I got this situation. I forgot CMC Administrator account password and I tried to reset using the resolution steps provided SAP.
Symptom:
The password for the administrator password is lost and there is no other account with administrator rights to log in the CMC and reset the password for this user
Resolution:
The steps required to perform are detailed in the Installation guide attached in the references section. However, there is one mistake in the order of the steps.
Page 71: Chapter 5.9.1 To reset the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform administrator account password
1. Locate the CMS process: launch the Process Explorer utility, and locate CMS.exe.
2. Copy the CMS command to the clipboard. In Process Explorer, copy the "Command line" field.
3. Use the Central Configuration Manager (CCM) to stop the SIA. To launch the CCM, go to Programs > SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise
XI 4.0 > SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise > Central Configuration Manager. Once you have confirmed that the SIA has stopped,
proceed to the next step.
4. Paste the CMS command to a command-line. Do not press Enter. Open a "Command Prompt" window and paste in the contents from step3.
5. Append the -serverconsole switch to the command and press Enter. For example, note that the following command has -serverconsole
appended:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\cms.exe" -loggingPath "C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0/logging/" -port 6400 -restart -dbinfo "C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0/win64_x64/_boe_ACME.dbinfo" -noauditor -autoboot -fg -name ACME.cms - pidfile "C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0/serverpids/ACME_ACME.CentralManagementServer.pid" -serverconsole
The SIA is launched in serverconsole mode. You will be prompted when the SIA is ready to accept commands.
6. Go to the following folder: <BOE_INSTALL_DIR>\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dfo The dfo folder
contains a subfolder with a randomly generated name starting with dfo_.
7. Copy the file named BusinessObjects_Administrator_dfo.xml from inside the dfo_ folder to the following folder:
<BOE_INSTALL_DIR>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\packages
8. Enter the following query: select si_id from ci_systemobjects where si_name='Administrator' Four objects are returned. Record the
SI_ID for each object.
Tip: One of the entries should have the SI_ID set to 12.
9. Delete the objects by typing the following command for each object:delete <ID_NUMBER>
10. Verify that the objects have been deleted by re-entering the command from step 8: select si_id from ci_systemobjects where
si_name='Administrator'
No objects should be returned.
11. Enter the following query: select si_id from ci_systemobjects where si_name='BusinessObjects_Administrator_dfo.xml' One object should be returned. Record the object's SI_ID number.
12. Delete the object by entering the following command: delete <SI_ID>
13. Type quit to exit.
14. Use the CCM to start the SIA.
15. Launch the CCM, go to Programs > SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0 > SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise > Central Configuration Manager.
You can now log on to the administrator account without having to provide password (leave the "Password" field blank).
I started performing the steps in the server console. But I got confused from step 8. On performing step 8, it returned the objects as in below image.
As i'm a novice user of BODS, I didn't understand step9 and started deleting the objects using delete command(delete 19, delete 12) and i verified that no objects are returned in step10, I proceeded further performing step 11 which gave me the objects as in below image.
This time I gave only delete 364 command, exited console and restarted CMC. But the problem persists. Where did I go wrong? In step 8 it showed in resolution that 4 objects will be returned. But for me, it returned 12 objects. I think I have screwed up something. I repeated the steps with no resolution. Could anyone explain what's going on.Please do the needful. Any help is much appreciated.

First of all, you should ask the client, what exactly is a special character and why does it cause errors. The message is different when you remove characters, information might lack.
Maybe it is a code page issue.

How to ensure that an accrual (FBS1) that was cleared and reversed/reset (FBRA) does not affect the books while being in open items (FAGLB03)?
At first the user created an accrual using FBS1 for reversal on 5/1/2015.
This created a clearing document.
Then it was mistakenly reversed by the user for 5/1/2015 by using F.81
This also created a clearing document.
Based on advice in the following thread: Delete reverse accrual/defferal documents | SCN ,
the user used FBRA to reset and reverse the document. We are unsure if the reset and reverse command was used or just the reset choice.
Now the accrual value is in the respective accounts with an open status (i.e. red button). Does this mean that the entry has already been discarded and it won't affect the accounts? Or does one then use FB50 to reverse the effects of the accrual in the current and next month?

Use exec to move file on Linux?
Hi,
I am trying to move a file from one directory to another using the exec function in DS, here is my script:
exec('/bin/sh', ' -c "mv /sapmnt/DSD/DataServices/Incoming/GCL/Neulion/test.dat /sapmnt/DSD/DataServices/Successful/GCL/Neulion"', 8);
My script works, except it move the entire Neulion directory instead of the file test.dat.
Does anyone have any idea why?

TFACS is Factory Calendar table. WENUM gives working days for the year fo the year in JAHR.
To get the no.of working days you need to position the calendar for the year and read the record.
TABLE operation positions some tables based on the current time eval date ACDATE field.
However this table is not one of the tables supported in TABLE operation.
Hence the alternatives for you are:
1)Include code in the user include for pgm RPTIME00 to read the record based on the year in time eval date.
Then HRS operation (HRS=TWENUM will give you the working days in the year.
2)In V_T511K create a constant for Factory Cal working days. This can be delimited each year on 1/1 and the new working days can be updated based on the TFACS row for the year.
The easiest alternative would be 2).

This BAdI unfortunately is not enough. It works good in creation mode or when transaction is created in reference to other document. But it doesn't cover cases when Ship-to Party or Organizational data is changed.
To make sure that in every use case scenario it works properly, enhancement have to be triggered either after ship-to, organizational data is changed/created or when document is saved.
In my case, good option was to write own function which is called by crm order event, after related fields are changed.
It works good, but need to be thoroughly tested (i.e. when there are two Ship-to and mainpartner check is changed or it have to keep values copied from previous documents).
