Activities Backflush in MFBF based on Rate Routing

$

Friends,

We have a situation to change the timings in the Rate Routing "Labor Time" in the Operations during mid year ( example ).

When this happens, We do NOT want to create a new Production Version OR change the STD Cost Estimate OR Product Cost Collector.

The Rep.Mfg profile is set to [ Cost Acctg: > Post Activities > Backflush using Standard Cost estimate for material ] and cannot be changed.

I know that standard SAP MFBF Activities backflush proposes values based of the Rate Routing values in the Production Version used at the Cost Estimate run and the Cost Collector. I also understand that if we re-run cost estimate and update Cost Collector, MFBF will read the current "Labor Time", but do not want to do that, because,

We want the ability to compare the MANY ACTUALS with ONE STANDARD.

Is there any way ( Via simple Enhancements/BAPI/etc ), other than Manually Changing this in MFBF to get backflush activities proposed in MFBF

based on the Latest Rate Routings "Labor Time" (Similar to discrete Production Orders Scenario) ?

Many Thanks,

MDS

Re: en.json blocking screen

Hi Sergio,

Okay, so I get that you are making a call during the initialization of the app, which returns you a JSON reponse, and this call is is taking some time.

So, how much time is the processing of the JSON response on the UI side taking ?

I assume this is taking a while, and the download of en_json is a result of something during the processing of this response.

I think the issue that you see around blocking the screen is not really the download of the en.json, rather what is happening before that . Could you check that part?

So the time that you see until the start of the en.json file here seems like the total time taken for the network call + response processing.

Hi Jens,

Thank you for your feedback in this and your other last posts, there are not normal issues and we can learn considerably with your experience. It's the first time that i've heard the sender DTD check in PI. I haven't check it, but have you seen if the Sender SOAP Axis has any proxy characteristic?. Another alternative is like you said to do a java mapping or to deploy a servlet in you PI to take first the message, but it seems to be a bit complicated and difficult to maintain. I remember one servlet that did in my first years with XI 3.0 (with different purpose that your problem) , and it was a really headache   .

Hi,

I built the report again from scratch.

The error happened again as I tried to copy some formulas from another report.

So I simply constructed the formulas in my new report.

The .xlt file is now working fine. but I am still not able to open any XLTX file.

I would be interested if someone has the answer to that issue.

Hi Prahalad,

The url you are using is not valid, it has to be a valid endpoint, something that would return service metadata.  I would suggest that you go through some of the guides first to get your feet wet.

Multiple instances of same Order in Work Order list screen.

Hello Experts,

We work on SAP Work Manager-6.0, one of the user reported one strange behaviour, which is a critical issue for us.

He is able to see multiple Work Orders in the Work Order list with same work order number.

I checked Work Order number is the primary key in Work Order object in Agentry side and setId()/getId() of Work Order POJO class contain same work order number, which is standard.

PFA screen shot for the same.

*    It happened for the first time for this particular order with only one user.

Could any body please through some light to proceed.

It would be a great help for me.

Thank you Sanjay for the reply.

Did u add the fields in the bill plan tab as well ? If yes, can you share the screen exit used ?

I'm having hard time finding a screen exit for bill plan tab.

I have posted the below thread for the same. You can use it to reply.

Re: Filter by hierarchy node, show flat list

Hi Arne,

At first glance I was not able to come up with an approach to fulfil your requirement using the standard filter components (perhaps others in the community may have ideas about this).  However, assuming your data source is a BEx Query, you can implement your requirement using a Hierarchy Node Variable as follows:

1.  In your BEx Query, define a Hierarchy Node Variable for the the characteristic you wish to filter and place this in the filter panel:

BExQuery.png

2.  Create a data source in Design Studio based on the above BEx Query and make sure the hierarchy is not activated for the characteristic to be filtered.  If you then connect the data source to a Crosstab for instance, initially the unfiltered data should be displayed as a flat list (in this example characteristic Airline ID):

Unfiltered Data.png

3.  Invoke the Prompt Dialog using the APPLICATION.openPromptDialog() method at a suitable point in your application to display the hierarchy node variable.  In my example I created a "Filter" button to launch the dialogue:

Variable Prompt.png

4.  Select the node from the hierarchy that you want to filter by:

Hierarchy Group Selection.png

Selected Group Prompt.png

5.  After confirming the dialogue prompt with the selected hierarchy node, the Crosstab displays the filtered data as a flat list:

Maybe not the most elegant solution but it works.

SalesOrder-Send Email does not have attachment when print sequence defined

I am facing this situation, need your input please.

A print sequence has been defined for say manager ID called Sequence1.

Sequence1 has two lines, line 1 to print sales order using print default say 'SO with Prices' one copy on default local printer attached to say User1 desktop.

Sequence1line 2 is defined to print default say "SO without prices' to say some other printer on network 'printer2'.

All of above works great.

Problem:

========

On sales Order, when sending email, user is asked if he/she wants to attach Sales Order attachment to this email. He/she says Yes attach sales order attachment.

However, when email form 'Send Email' is launched on clicking the attachment tab, there is no PDF attached or sales order. Nothing is attached.

I am on SAP B1, 9.0 patch 15.

Is this functionality supposed to work? Please help.

Thank you.

Syed

Hi Akky,

I doubt whether  this can be controlled through configuration. However, the same can be achieved by coding in the suitable exit.

Please do share your solution if you had arrived at it already.

Hi Jamie

I just got reply from Jennifer Cha :

This will not work in trial account.  It will only work on the production account.  However, there is a way to achieve this.  My colleague is going to publishing a blog soon to resolve this issue.  Let me check with him when the blog will be available.

Later she pointed out to : Accessing HANA XS OData in Web IDE and beyond

will let you know it goes...

thanks

Re: BO 4.1 SP5 OLAP connection getting failed to HANA SPS09

$

Hello S. Das

It seems we have recently become aware of this limitation. The AOLAP connection to HANA asks for an instance number and it then connects to the HANA server on port "3<instance_number>15".

But in multi-tenant scenarios the port number changes.

However, I've just seen a related post on another thread from a colleague and it looks like there is a solution.

In the CMC edit the HANA connection and post fix the server name with the tenant port.

For example, in the "Server" textbox instead of "myhanaserver" you have "myhanaserver:30099;" where "30099" is your tenant port.

***Important... note the semicolon at the end***

Please feedback if that works for you.

Kind Regards
