Not sure what you are trying to do. Anyway there are conversion functions in SAP available and commands for those cases where it will not work. Also the usage of field symbols might help. If it is same to the Excel upload also possible upload can already fix the direct move to fields with different data types.
Date and time if required from upload or system can be found in SYST.
