I don't think so we need to configure any kind of Gw URL. it should work as per SMP installation.

Presentation Designer 2011 SP4 Setup Not Recognizing 32-Bit Microsoft Excel 2013
I have 32-bit Microsoft Office Excel (with 2013 office suite) installed. When I try to install the SAP Crystal Presentation Design 2011 software, the setup prerequisite check is stating that I am missing Microsoft Office Excel (XP or higher) 32-bit.
- How do I install Crystal Reports Presentation Designer without having to use Microsoft Excel 2003?
- Does anyone know when (estimated guess) Crystal Reports Presentation Designer is scheduled to fully support 2013?

I'm installing SAP HANA for the first time and im having troubles when the unified installer gets to the installation of the lifecycle manager. Im getting the following error:

The problem is that if you make it harder for people to get points, they work harder to get them (e.g. in groups of people). So for messages and replies in discussions that's what we had to do: remove the points altogether.

Con el cambio de iOS a 7.1 (Ipad e Iphone), nuevas configuraciones se deben aplicar en SAP, ya no existe la mac de dispositivo, ahora la configuracion queda asi:
A esto agrega la actualizacion de SAP app 1.9.6 (que tu ya tienes) y listo!! tiene que trabajar, ahora estoy en SAP 9, pero con SAP version 8.82 PL 07, SAP app 1.9.6 e iOS 7.1 tenia usuarios conectados con Ipad e Iphone, tu tienes PL 11.

Problem with Webi to call a universe based on DSO

I have created a universe based on DSO, I published on BO because after a I wanted create a Web Intelligence report base on, but when I try to call the universe just happened nothing... No error and not universe.. after that I tried to call the same universe on Lumira and I got a Error: Fatal Exception Occured. The Cause was: com.bussinesobjects.corba.generic.container.proxy.internal,DependencyFailoverCallbackImpl$FailoverFatalException: Prepare FailOver Fail.
Have you got any idea?.

BI 4.0 : Input Repository Down
Ref: BusinessObjects Universe Designer Import Universe Issue: I am receiving the following error when attempting to import a universe onto a PC that only has the client software installed: File Repository Server Input is Down. However, the import process works fine when running it on the server. The following Core Services are enabled and running:
- FileRepositoryServer
- InputFileRepository
- OutputFileRepository
I can perform other process fine from the client only PC including opening and modifying local universes, view the list of universes in the repository, and running the Central Management Console
WORKAROUND: When we logged in to Machine with Admin Rights users, we could import / Export universe. And after that on that machine for defected user it started working. So the key was Admin logon for first time.
So we don't know what is it that Admin user could do but not workstation user. Accordingly we can grant those access to user.
is this something related to LSI file or (any file) where those needs to get downloaded in first time and then it works for others?
Any help will be appreciated.

Dual domain SPNEGO SSO - single domain UME
Hi Guys
We are facing an SSO issue. We are in the situation where we are implemenring a new domain, but in parallel we are implementing SAP portal for which we need SSO. Let's call the old domain global.old-domain.com and the new domain new-domain.com. There is a two-way forest trust between the two domains. The portal server is running in the new domain, ume is setup to connect to AD in new-domain.com, service users have been created in both domains just as SPNs HTTP/portal.new-domain.com have been created in both domains, SPNEGO is configured with realm for new-domain.com and global.old-domain.com using the service users and user mapping is set to "Principal only" mapping to login id, so user KPNs from both domains will map to samaccountname in AD of new-domain.com.
The issue is that SSO only works with a PC and user in new-domain.com. When I try to logon with a user and PC in the old domain, I am simple presented with the standard portal login prompt.
I have attached output from troubleshooting wizard after tracing both the successful from and the failed authentication. It seems the spnego token is never sent, when it fails....?
Can anybody give some hints on what we are missing?
A couple of questions:
1. Does the service user for creating SPNs and realms have to be the user running the portal service (SAPService<SID>)?
2. Does anybody know of any other good ways to trace and debug SPNEGO issues? So I can try and find out why an SPNEGO token is not received on the portal server.
Hoping someone can help.
Remember the attached files are just zip-files with an added ".txt" at the end, which means that if you want to unzip it, you will have to remove the .txt extension.

What if they don't have ACTVT '01' for the debugger and only '02' for their own packages?
Then they must write and F8 a new program which edits the protected one, so it can be caught in the ABAP Editor exit.
Force them to make noise and use alerts on the syslog to make noise... :-)
If developers read code and comments which tells them to bugger off then they don't voluntarily go looking for trouble IMO.
Or we can dig deeper than ACTVT '01' to make noise....
Noise for (bad) developers is better than prevention.

What is the portal version?
you may try to use the httwatch to trace.
As you mentioned the portal is installed in the new domain. Hope the FQDN URL of the portal as well point to the new domain. Maybe try to create an alias for the portal URL in the old domain and check.

I have seen a couple of OSs that have user level limit controls, not ulimit type, but more like selinux variants, or Solaris project based things, that could cause a user process not to be given memory.
And the other gotcha we hit sometimes, is everybody using the same character sets and localization settings? We deal with a lot of international data, and set everything to UTF-8, that has produce some interesting load issues from time to time.
